Terms of Use
TODO.md works with the Markdown files in the vault folder you choose. Your files remain the source of truth. Feedback and dictation are optional.
TODO.md is operated by Andriy Viychuk (devviy.com). devviy.com is the developer's website, not a separate company. Support: todo-md@devviy.com. Privacy and legal questions: hello@devviy.com.

Using TODO.md and Apple Standard EULA
Your use of the iOS application is licensed under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These Terms of Use provide supplemental terms governing the local vault interaction and our optional online feedback service. Agreeing to these terms in the feedback drawer applies to your feedback submission; it is not a blanket app-wide license replacement or broad data consent.
Your files, backups, and write safety
TODO.md edits the original Markdown files in the vault folder you select. It does not maintain a proprietary database or cloud copy of your notes. You remain responsible for maintaining regular backups of your vault files. While TODO.md performs bounded, coordinated file operations and re-verifies file anchors before modifying lines, concurrent edits from other applications or file sync conflicts can occur.
Optional Apple Calendar and Reminders integrations
Calendar sync and reminder capture are entirely optional and require your explicit setup and iOS permissions:
- Calendar mirror: If enabled, TODO.md mirrors dated tasks to a dedicated app-owned Apple Calendar. This is a one-way export: edits made directly in your calendar application do not sync back to your Markdown notes. External file edits are reconciled when the app opens or writes occur.
- Reminder capture: If enabled, TODO.md can move supported incomplete tasks from your default Apple Reminders list into your chosen Markdown destination file. Supported reminders are removed from Reminders only after the bounded file write is verified and the calendar mirror reconciliation completes. Instant background synchronization is not promised, and not all reminder types or metadata are supported for import.
Optional feedback
Only when you explicitly tap Send does TODO.md share your submitted feedback text and optional reply email. The request goes over HTTPS to our service hosted by Vercel, which uses Resend to send a plain-text email to the fixed support address, todo-md@devviy.com. We use your message to understand your report, fix bugs, and reply if you supplied an email.
The feedback drawer asks you to agree to these Terms of Use before enabling Send. You can read these terms without agreeing, and you can cancel without sending anything.
The app does not attach recordings, vault files or paths, device identifiers, or automatic diagnostics. Include only information you want to share. Feedback is optional; you do not need to send it to use your task lists.
Each explicit Send makes one attempt. There is no automatic resend. A success means Resend accepted the email, not that delivery to the support mailbox has been confirmed. If acceptance cannot be confirmed, your draft stays available; choosing Send again may create a duplicate.
See the Privacy Policy for how Vercel, Resend, and the support mailbox handle information, including retention and deletion requests.
Optional dictation and Apple Speech Recognition
You can type your task or feedback instead of dictating it. Dictation is opt-in: using the microphone requires your permission for microphone access and Apple Speech Recognition. iOS transcribes your speech through Apple Speech Recognition, which may process it on your device or on Apple's servers, depending on what iOS supports at that moment.
The feedback service does not receive your recording. If you dictate feedback, only the resulting text you submit and any optional reply email reach that service when you tap Send. Starting dictation does not send feedback.
See Apple's Siri, Dictation & Privacy notice for Apple's handling of speech, and our Privacy Policy for TODO.md's data practices.
